The Youngcare Budgie Bolt is more than an excuse to wear your ‘budgies’ in public – it’s an opportunity to raise awareness and much needed funds for the 7,500 young Aussies with high care needs currently in aged care.

The idea is simple – on 22 March 2013, brave blokes and gutsy girls (yes they want you too girls!) will strip down and run 5km in nothing but budgie smugglers! Girls, don’t freak out…you’ll be wearing a top!

And no they’re not crazy; they’re just serious about raising money for young Aussies in need.

Starting at Picnic Island Green, you will follow the path over the Goodwill Bridge, through the Botanical Gardens, along the Pier and turn around at Eagle Street Pier City Cat.
